OVIDcast: Patient Partnerships

OVIDcast: Patient Partnerships

As part of our continued commitment to patient partnerships here at OVID, we’re very excited to announce the launch of our new podcast series, OVIDcast: Patient Partnerships.

The series will see health charity leaders speak with the OVID team about what makes for successful partnerships, and how the life-sciences industry can strengthen approaches to patient advocacy and engagement.

The series features leaders from the Fabry International Network, the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS), the Patients Association, Ovacome and the Sickle Cell Society, tackling issues such as the barriers patient groups face to working with pharma companies, and how the success of partnerships can be measured.

OVIDcast is available via major streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Google Podcasts. You can listen to the trailer and subscribe via your preferred platform here:

You can also listen on youtube here. All episodes can now be found at the bottom of this page.

Clare Jacklin, CEO of NRAS said:

“Partnerships between industry and patient organisations have improved considerably over time, but there are still challenges – some of which are easy to address through working differently and more colligatively while others will take a more ‘cultural and attitude’ shift for both life sciences sector and third sector/charities. I hope life sciences companies are inspired by these podcasts to approach partnerships differently and to continue innovating to help patients.”

Jenny Ousbey, CEO and founder of OVID Health, said:

“If you’re in pharma and working with a patient organisation, or if you’re thinking of a collaboration at a global or in-country level, this podcast is a brilliant source of hints and tips to ensure your project runs effectively so you have the biggest impact on the patients you serve.

“I loved discovering new insights in each guest episode – if you work in patient advocacy it’s a must-listen!”
